I take back what I suggested about Supre’s maxi skirts. I found a fabulous little khaki number in there the other day, and at $40 was pretty much as good a buy as my eBay steal. Supre maxi-anythings tend to be really long though, so it looks like a little trip to visit my seamstress buddy before I can wear it (don’t even hint that should hem my own clothes. I am more likely to sew my fingers into a garment). I am chuffed with it though – comfy (is it a sign that I am getting older that ‘comfy’ is often top of my priority list when shopping?!), the pleats fall nicely and it’s such an easy piece to wear with white, tan or even black. I am planning to make my plain maxis work right into winter so on a cost-per-wear basis, my two finds so far have been absolute bargains!
